Synopsis: Heydar is a young Afgan domestic worker who lives in Tehran, Iran. He has heard that there are now many Westerners in Afghanistan and as such he has begun to teach himself English with the aid of language tapes in order to return to Afghanistan and become an English translator.

Babak Jalali

Babak Jalali was born in Gorgan, Iran in September 1978. He has lived in London since 1986. He has a degree in East European studies and a degree in Politics, both from the University of London. He is a recent graduate of the London Film School. His interests lie in documentary and fiction filmmaking.
