Synopsis: Francesca is watching some old super8 films shot by her father. Intrigued by these films, she decides to accompany her father, Franco, to Correano in Italy (his native village) to know more about his past and their common origins. In Correano Francesca meets father’s best friends who tell her about their past, while during a walk into his land property, Franco shows and tells to his daughter about his youth and about his emigration story to Switzerland.

Paolo Cortinovis,
1977, Poschiavo - Switzerland

Earned the teacher’s diploma in 1998 and taught for two years in Val Poschiavo. At present, he is graduating at the Swiss Italian University of Lugano with a thesis about the Italian documentary cinema. Since 2003 he collaborates with the Swiss Italian Radio as subeditor for channel Rete Tre. He has also attended the International School of Theater «Kuniaki Ida» in Milan. Francesca Di Nardo,
1980, Taverne – Switzerland

After the linguistics’ diploma she enrolled at the Swiss Italian University of Lugano (specialization in communication and training). In 2005 she has obtained her degree with a thesis about the computer use in the elementary school. Since 2003 she works as training designer for movingAlps in Lugano-Besso.
